Southport Sailing Club (SSC) is the location for this last event (and series prizegiving). There are two sailing clubs on the Marine Lake - SSC and West Lancs Yacht Club WLYC) - and SSC is the one to the North end of the lake.

There is plenty to do for families at Southport (the fun fair is now re-opened after a short closure 2 years ago).

Southport Boardsailing Association are running the event.

The water level has been increased following some work around the edges of the lake to prevent flooding so water depth has increased.

In previous years we have had good events here. The lake is safe for all abilities but when it does blow, the islands, and the paddle steamer, add some out-of-the-ordinary challenges.
