Racing will take place generally in accordance with the Racing Rules of Sailing 2004-2008 with amendments (Appendix B). For more information see the United Kingdom Windsurfing Association site: www.ukwindsurfing.com

However, windsurfers are generally a friendly bunch and disputes on-water are rare. The occasional infringements are usually sorted out on-water with the offending sailor completing a 720o turn as a penalty. If there are any disputes or protests then the decision of the race organisers will be final.

You must have 3rd party insurance to race. If you accidentally injure another party or damage their equipment and it is your fault you may face serious consequences. RYA windsurfing membership (but not dingy membership) or UKWA membership provides suitable free cover. See: www.rya.org.uk or www.ukwindsurfing.com

All competitors take part at their own risk.

The event organisers are not liable for any loss or injury.

Please bear in mind that injuries and damage to equipment by other racers are extremely rare and that's the way we want to keep it!
