Rossendale Valley Sailing Club at Clow Bridge Reservoir boasts a modern club building shaped to minimise its effect on the wind. The reservoir is in an open location with only a few trees to interfere with the wind.

This is also a good location to bring the family as there is a walk round the lake.

The lake is suitable for all abilities - the worst that can happen is you might have a long walk back if you get blown down the lake.

Clow Bridge is alongside the A682 between Burnley and Rawtenstall. Access is through a narrow entrance south of the reservoir and below the dam wall, you then follow a fairly steep track up to the clubhouse. There is ample parking adjacent to a grassed rigging area.

The excellent galley provides hot drinks and food.
